Children’s Cancer Cause College Scholars Program

Children’s Cancer Cause, with generous support from Hyundai Hope on Wheels, is pleased to again offer academic scholarships for childhood cancer survivors, plus the opportunity to gain valuable cancer advocacy experience. In 2025, we will award up to 25 survivors with scholarships ranging from $1,500 to $5,000.

The College Scholars Program - which has now awarded scholarship to nearly 50 survivors - includes a cancer volunteer project of the student’s choice. Scholars receive support and mentorship from the Children’s Cancer Cause. Past scholarship winners have undertaken projects that include a community bone marrow drive, a podcast for other cancer survivors, and the formation of a campus cancer advocacy organization.

Alumni of the Children’s Cancer Cause College Scholars Program have gone on to become medical students studying pediatric oncology, clinical trial researchers, and candidates for local public office.

Our thanks to...

In 2025, we will award a record number of scholarships to childhood cancer survivors - more than double any previous year! - thanks to a survivorship program grant from Hyundai Hope on Wheels, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supported by Hyundai Motor America and its more than 835 U.S. dealers.

The top scholarship award recipient will be named our Stewart Scholar. This annual award is presented to a survivor who demonstrates exceptional potential to make a positive difference in the world. It is named in honor of John and Nancy Stewart, founders of our Stewart Initiative for Childhood Cancer Survivors.
