Join the Virtual Day of Action

You're invited to join the Children's Cancer Cause and the Alliance for Childhood Cancer in a 'Virtual Day of Action' today - Wednesday, September 9th.

Every year, childhood cancer advocates from around the country come to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Alliance for Childhood Cancer's Action Days. Although we can’t be together in person this year, due to the pandemic, we are excited for this opportunity to mobilize together digitally and send a united message to Congress at a critical time in the budget process. This is an opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on public policy during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

WHAT ARE WE ASKING FOR?

In July, the House of Representatives passed a bill that included full funding for the Childhood Cancer STAR Act for a third year.  Today - just three weeks before the end of the federal fiscal year - we call on Congress to finalize this funding so the programs created by the STAR Act can move forward for another year.

By raising our voices together through emails to Capitol Hill and social media posts, we will do our part to ensure that our lawmakers know that funding the STAR Act is a top priority for the childhood cancer community. Our action alert form makes it quick and easy for you to write a letter to your Members of Congress.

Take your advocacy one step further by sharing our posts on FacebookTwitter, or Instagram today, to encourage others to join in this critically important Day of Action on behalf of childhood cancer families around the country.

Thank you for being a strong voice for kids with cancer, today and every day.
