Deadline is August 23, 2021
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has an exciting opportunity available for you to apply to participate in their Patient Engagement Collaborative (PEC). On Friday, July 23, FDA announced the request for applications to the PEC for a two- to three-year term.
The PEC is an effort to hear directly from patients to better understand their perspectives and experiences to help inform FDA’s regulatory decisions around medical products. Applications are due August 23, 2021.
The application and instructions are published in the Federal Register at this link: Federal Register: Request for Applications for New Members of the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative/Food and Drug Administration Patient Engagement Collaborative.
The PEC includes representation from:
Patients who have personal disease experience.

Representatives from patient groups who have direct or indirect disease experience.
Topics discussed by PEC include:
Creating new ways to collaborate with patient communities.
Making patient engagement more systematic.
