Meet Thomas

“My son Thomas was diagnosed January 7, 2015 with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

He had been unwell for about a month. He was pale, barely ate, and kept getting fevers. I took him to the doctor several times and they kept saying he had a virus. Finally he could barely walk and a blood test was ordered.

The next day our world shattered.

After a month of treatment, his bone marrow still contained small traces of leukemia, making him high-risk.

Happily, on May 12, 2015 he was declared in remission. He started maintenance therapy in September and still has 2 1/2 years of treatment.

He has been so brave and strong. Thomas had cancer before he could talk and while still in diapers. I would give anything to take this away from him and for all children.”
